Benefits of being an Auction Administrator

  • Complete on-target earnings exceeding £25000 per year
  • Salary between £18,000 - £22,000 DOE
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm - attendance at all Auctions until ended (8-10 Mondays per year)

Responsibilities

  • Attendance at all auctions is mandatory, to be conversant in all aspects of auction
  • Liaising with customers / branches to arrange valuations
  • Booking viewings and desk top valuations
  • Conducting viewings in both Stoke-On-Trent and Telford
  • Photography - as and when required
  • Liaise with managers and branches on a daily / weekly basis 
  • Visiting branch locations for training and development
  • Door to door canvassing in branch locations
  • Assist in the preparation of the auction catalogue
  • Maintaining and updating social media accounts
  • Communicating with the client email database
  • Liaising with solicitors to follow up on preparation of legal packs / sales
  • Assisting clients in teh registration and the auction process
  • Monitoring and providing accurate feedback on online traffic and activity
  • Ensuring all documentation required is available by the set time
  • Preparation of equipment and supplies for the auction, room set up and ensure "stations" are stocked and staffed
  • Monitoring and taken large card payments, and ensuring efficient handling of documentation

Essential Skills 

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle 
  • Ability to work to strict timescales, and work efficiently under presssure
  • Effective in time management, self-motivated and can adhere to schedules
  • An eye for detail - good spelling and grammar is an advantage
  • Conversant with excel spreadsheets and word docs
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries in a professional manner
  • Able to handle high volumes of files coming in both internally and externally and store efficiently
  • Understanding of legal pack contents, monitoring and keeping up to date online

 

The Finer Details

We are currently conducting some interviews using video software. To be eligible to proceed in our recruitment process, you will need:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Legal entitlement to live and work in the UK (in accordance with the Immigration Asylum and Nationality Act 2006)
  • We’ll need evidence of your right to work in the UK, in the form of:
    Passport/Birth Certificate

We will also need

  • Proof of Address
  • National Insurance
  • Drivers Licence Check
